Showing Up For Older Australians: Creating Death Care Leaders
This coming November, I will be assisting with a very important workshop run by the Australian Home Funeral Alliance, in conjunction with Death Literacy Australian and Social Health Australia.
This free workshop is focused on educating our community on how to have conversations about end of life, what a home funeral is, redefining a home funeral in hospitals and nursing homes, planning a funeral, death care at home and being a death care leader. We seek to address funeral poverty and increase people's feelings of capacity and capability to show up for each other in end of life.
When we have the tools and knowledge to help in times of loss, grief, and death, we are able to show up in ways we might not have thought possible before.
